The AIDS Awareness Ribbon is one of the most recognizable of all the ribbon pins. The addition of the dove of peace is symbolic of the hope that one day there will be a cure. They are worn by patients, families, friends, doctors, nurses, as well as supporters and have been seen on televised benefits, fund-raisers,  awards shows, and memorials.  They have been an on going standard for two decades at AIDS Awareness Walks around the country.  World Aids Day is December 1st of each year.  December is Aids awareness month.
